Sony officially unveiled the PlayStation 3 last May 16, 2005 and since then, diverse games were also created. New games garnered favorable reviews from critics and fanatics. Among them are Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots, Final Fantasy XIII, and Resident Evil IV. Since they are popular games, most players focus on these four and keeps promoting the game series.

Devil May Cry 4 is the latest addition in the Devil May Cry series also abbreviated as DMC available in both the XBOX 360 platforms and PS3. The player can play Nero\’s role with a Red Queen sword, his Blue Rose Revolver and his Devil Bringer, his devilish right arm and Dante. In the entire course of the missions, player can switch back from Nero to Dante. The gameplay remains the same as the previous titles highlighting the elegance of each encountered combat allowing more combos with little damage and the more unique attacks gives you higher points. \”Proud Souls\” feature is also added and it can be achieved after every mission and can be exchange for skills as well to be sold back on the same price.

The game received more positive reviews wherein it is also commended for being amusingly stylish just like MGS4. Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots also known as MGS4 is a strategic, stealth and espionage action game designed by Hideo Kojima for the PS3 console and is the latest sequel in the MGS series. MGS4 is regarded as a best selling and greatest game offered by PS3 that has received numerous credits and many awards from several gaming companies.

The game has a number of new features that\’s sure to interest any gamer such as the Solid Eye which highlights items and enemies. It also has threat ring functions which lets the player know the distance of any enemy in the area. Here, you can use stealth, traditional combat techniques and CQC. Hideo Kojima has made one more masterpiece and MGS4 will always be one of the significant reasons why players buy PS3 console.

As for Final Fantasy XIII, reviews said that the developers have made the game\’s platform similar to that of Final Fantasy XII so as to maintain the strategic command-based battles that players are familiar with but added a number of twists to make it more interesting. The objective is to make the game appear the same as the fights scenes in Final Fantasy Advent Children. Final Fantasy XIII offers unique fighting system which is apart from the world map. There are a number of changes that has been done to improve the gameplay and this includes the ability of characters to chain combos and cause an enemy to be on an \”exhausted\” state wherein the enemy stands helpless and takes damage twice the normal amount. Overall, the game has a lot of new things to offer including a deep-storyline which is surely to pique\’s any final fantasy fan\’s interest.

The latest part of Resident Evil series is simply like the Resident Evil IV with plenty of impressively made cut-scenes and susceptible controls. This time, the player controls Chris Redfield, a recurring protagonist of the series along with a new Sheva Alomar, with the same over-the-shoulder point of view. Aside from the multiplayer format, there are more weapons included but unlike before, the weapons can be equipped while on the field instead of pausing the game and gaining access from the inventory.

This game includes online aspects; it can be played by two players at the same time through online mode though there would still be times wherein players will be separated in the midst of the game to undertake their individual missions. There are also repeating battles that can surprise fans of this game.

Overall, the game still has the same gaming atmospehere that all RE titles normally have and offers much more. A highly recommended game for both RE fans and non-fans alike.
