Las Vegas has a very well publicized history of famous arrests and note worthy crimes. Some of this has made Las Vegas what it is today. Although, some of the stories seem so far fetched that it is hard to believe they are real. Tim Deam a former Las Vegas bail bondsman was arrested in 2006 for the attempted murder of his “Dirty Deeds Bail Bonds” business partner. In 2007, he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit a crime and to battery with substantial bodily harm. After serving time in the County jail, Mr. Deam was released and is running in a 2010 election for Sheriff of Clark County!

Often people are arrested for lewd acts in Las Vegas. Infrequently are those arrested medical doctors doing their residency for psychiatry. Dr. Steven C. Wein was arrested in 2010 for allegedly masturbating in a Monte Carlo elevator while riding with three female college students. After being charged with misdemeanor open and gross lewdness, he was released on a $1,000 bond. He was subsequently arrested in Yuma, Ariz. with hand written instructions of how to commit to arson. The court fearing Dr. Wein intended to intimidate the witnesses, has since his rescinded his bond and he is now being held without bail in Las Vegas.

While in Las Vegas, Daniel Tzvetkoff, was arrested for charges of money laundering in connection with his previous online gambling payment processing business, Intabill. He appeared at a bail hearing in Las Vegas and was granted bail. However, he still sits in a Las Vegas jail because a New York court upset with the Las Vegas bail hearing ruled that he must now stay incarcerated during the trial. His possible financial means and foreign citizenship have the New York court fearing a potential flight risk.

No matter what, bail bonds in Las Vegas always seem to generate a buzz. The nature of those that attracted to Sin City make for some outlandish events and head scratching news.
