We have made a list below of what to look for when trying to hire entertainment for your event. Be sure to contact the comedian and make sure that they are the right person for your next event.

Ask to see some sample videos to make sure the comedian’s humor is a fit for your event and the type of audience watching. You don’t want to have a bunch of librarian type jokes when there are a bunch of contractors sitting in the audience. Some people don’t care what is said by the comedian while other audiences want only the clean type of humor.

Be sure if there are older people in the crowd that they can here what is being said. Make sure that you have a great sound system or that the comedian can supply a great sound system. Nothing can be worse than not being able to hear what a comedian is saying on stage. Ask your entertainer what type of sound system they are using and make sure that it is a good 500 Watt or something similar. It should be loud enough for the type of venue you will be using.

3. Make sure you get a written contract explaining everything in detail so there are no surprises. Detail everything out in a contract so that you are both clear as to what is expected from the performer and from the client.
