April 2009 marked the start of season 2- New Vestroia The Resistance. Dan, Marucho, and his friends must now join the resistance on Vestroia and battle against the evil Vexos organization. This group has started enslaving the Bakugan and forcing them to do battle. There are some new members to the team and many new and powerful monsters. The new season promises to be a hit.

Along with the cartoon there is also a Bakugan game. It uses magnetic balls that spring open when they encounter the metal playing cards. Think 21st century marbles. The game is a hit with kids all over the world. The website is translated into many different languages. Tournaments are being hosted by Toys R US in many different regions.
