WALL-E
When it comes to animated movies, Pixar has a great record. Over the last fifteen years they have produced hits, such as Toy Story and Toy Story 2, the Incredibles, Finding Nemo and more. Each movie is an instant hit, there is not a bad one to name.
The movies appeal to young and old alike. Children get excited to go see them and parents don’t mind having to follow. The concepts are to the point and the dialog is enjoyable. They appeal to all types of consumers without coming over as patronizing. Not only has there style not slowed down, it has gotten better and better with each film. WALL-E is the perfect example of this.
WALL-E is a story about a robot left to clean up the planet after it is almost destroyed by consumer hungry people. While he is on the plant cleaning, those that destroyed it created a floating community in space. After years of solitude WALL-E come in contact with a visitor.
Without going into to much detail, it can be said that WALL-E gets excited at the chance to make a friend. The first half of the movie focuses around WALL-E and his visitors budding friendship. The best thing about it is that there is absolutely no dialogue, and it still holds the attention of both child and adult. When the dialogue begins it continues to hold everyones attention, and the presentation of the pollution problem is handled in a fun and understanding way.
The DVD and Blu-Ray are full of extras from behind the scenes to previews for upcoming projects. Most people never even look at the extras, however Pixar always seems to have something to appeal to everybody.
