Backing up information is also an important thing to remember as a property manager. Losing information can be a business killer and might result in you losing your job. Make sure you have several backup drives that back up several times a day to ensure that no data will be lost. It’s part of your job to be a protector of this valuable information.

Bells and whistles can be really fun and cool or it can cause a massive headache. Find a software that has nice features like online payments and automatic e-mail reminders, but don’t pick a package that has so many features as it will take up most of your time. Try and pick a slim sleek program with a handful of features that help you run things more efficiently.

Don’t count out security. Remember that these software programs keep track of a lot of sensative information and that there are serious federal penalties for losing information.
