Where do you start looking when the goal is a matter of learning others performance? The obvious answer was YouTube! So I started browsing and found a large amount of really cool video shootings around how to shuffle dance. They were all very different age and quality. I started pondering that possibly there is a theme to be revealed in all the dance videos and the most recent shuffle dance trend.

It goes without saying I couldn’t have been the original to start the project of building a series of how to shuffle dance videos, but I believed it sounded like fun so I did it.

I made the site called HowToShuffleDance.com and on this site I try to document how my practise is going. I pick out one or two YouTube shuffle dance videos and then try and copy what they do in the video. I feature the shuffle dance tutorial on my site that I use myself to practise from. That way you and other individuals can use the same videos.

So far it’s been a Lot of fun and I am still getting better. It takes a serious amount of practise and especially if you want your shuffle dance to look cool and smooth. But that’s the same with alll other stuff. If you want to be extremely good you have got to keep practising. I have received a few comments from my videos and so far it looks like it’s taking off. Nick Martin is running an internet site where he’s making an attempt to learn how to shuffle dance by watching some of the best shuffle dance videos he has found on YouTube. It is a astonishingly fun and rewarding process and you may visit his website and watch some of his first few videos for a good giggle. He is not great but surely improving all the time.

You’re going to discover three new and exciting tactics for making a patchwork quilt.

1) Get Stronger With Every Patch

To commence you off with something easy, here’s a challenge that’s going to push your body and your skills to the limit.

Cut up and collect all of your quilting patches, then sort them into groups. For each group, assisgn one fitness exercise.

After you stitch each patch onto your patchwork quilt, you then have to go and do that exercise. Once you have it all sorted out, it should look something similar to this:

- Green patch – 10 push-ups

- Purple patch – fifteen sit-ups

- White Patch – 10 chin ups

- Orange Patch fifteen squats

By the time you finish your quilt, you’ll have a body as hard as granite and the will to clobber 12 security guards. Be sure to use your new found strength smartly.

2) The Candle Challenge

Do you ever find that quilting is chewing up all of your time or merely find that it just simply takes far too long to make each quilt?

Well then it’s time to grab hold of a candle, light the wick and place it in between your toes. You start your quilt when you light the candle and don’t stop until either the quilt is finished or the candle runs out.

If the candle runs out first, you’ve got to toss out your present patchwork quilt and start again.

You will be amazed at how swiftly you can put a quilt together when you don’t care about the tiny inconsistencies and you will be stunned at just how many corners you can cut to save some time here and there!

3) Ultra Extreme Mode

This one is short and simple.

Get a dangerous animal, a poisionous snake, a handfull of scorpions or a wild tiger and put them in a room.

Then get your quilting materials ready and dive in. The challenge here is to get in, and make your quilt and get out before anything bad occurs.

Yes, you can hold your head high when you complete this extreme challenge, knowing you’re the most hardcore quilter of any that you know. And you can rest secure in the knowledge that you can stare down any amount of fatal animals too!

So lets give the patchwork quilt preconception a good shake up and prove to the world that we are nothing to sneeze at!

Readers please note : This is all in good fun, don’t actually consider doing any of the above. Well except perhaps the exercise one, that should be fine.

Unfortunately, many stores are sold out of the good costumes by the time this comes around, leaving you in a situation where you either have to get creative or end up with something you never really wanted to begin with. Everyone wants to avoid this whenever possible, but our busy lives and our indecisiveness sometimes get in the way.

Here are a few solid Halloween costume ideas if you still don’t know what to be this year. Hopefully one of these will inspire you.

Here’s an idea. Are you a Michael Jackson fan? How about commemorating him by dressing up as him for Halloween? I have no doubt that others will appreciate this, and some will do this themselves.

Choose a stage in Jackson’s life that you’d like to emulate, and craft a costume around this. Having said that, there are so many different ways that you can dress up as the King of Pop.

Those less into the music scene and more into politics might choose to wear a Barack Obama costume. You’ll also see the ladies dressing up as Michelle, an equally great idea and an attractive Halloween costume at that.

If you don’t like either of the ones mentioned above and prefer to go with something a little less conventional, why not dress up as Susan Boyle? You can even have some fun along the way, singing the verses that made her famous.

Whatever you decide to go with, I hope that you enjoy your Halloween. Good luck to you, whichever road you should choose to go down. I have no doubt that you’ll end up wearing something great.
