Another film that was action packed while satisfying critics and audiences around the world was Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King. Peter Jackson pulled out all the stops with the final story in this epic trilogy, and as a result, the film won the Oscar for best picture of the year.

Give Michael Bay credit where its due. The guy may not make quality movies, but he knows action. The latest Transformers movie did not disappoint with action scenes and left my jaw open several times.

Another awesome film was Role Models. Sean William Scott has been relatively quiet since his role as Stiffler (even though he has definitely gotten work), but this film was a breath of fresh air. Paul Rudd is always hilarious and this duo was great to watch as mentors for troubled youngsters.

Wedding Crashers is a film that stars Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn at their best. Just hearing the two of them argue throughout the movie is brilliant writing, and Rachel McAdams and Isla Fisher do a great job as the troubled sisters.

While there were many films I considered, in the end, these are the comedic films that I will remember the most (and made me laugh the most) from this past decade.

There is a reason The Simpsons has been churning out new episodes for over two decades. No one gets tired of this show. Regardless of who your favorite character is, The Simpsons has something for everyone.

Almost everyone I know has Seinfeld on his or her DVR list. The “show about nothing” continues to make audiences laugh day in and day out, even if we have seen each episode 10 times by now.

The Dallas Mavericks faced their in-state rival, the San Antonio Spurs in the first round in a battle of #2 vs. #7, respectively. Dirk Nowitzki put up some gaudy numbers, but Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili were stellar and put the Mavs away.

In the Western Conference semifinals, the San Antonio Spurs were pitted against the Phoenix Suns. Up until this year, the Spurs had won the last five playoff series against the Suns, however this time was different. The Suns played to make a statement and swept the Spurs in the feel-good story of the playoffs.

The Utah Jazz played the Los Angeles Lakers and had a similar fate to the Spurs. The Lakers came out with a vengeance and beat the Jazz in a quick four games. In a great series matchup, the Lakers are now playing the Phoenix Suns in an exciting, fast-paced matchup.

Finally, 3:10 to Yuma was another fantastic performance by Christian Bale. A good western is hard to come by these days, but Bale and Russell Crowe managed to pull it off.
