Transformers were first introduced to the public as a toy line. The principle behind the line is the transformation of a robot action figure to vehicle or other gadget, and back again. Because of its popularity, graphic novels, comic books, cartoons and movies were created. The toy line is typically divided into two humanoid robot factions: the Autobots who are the protector of mankind and their enemies, the ruthless Decepticons.

Pokemon plush toys have been created around the movies, series and video games that feature them. They have been a huge hit with kids since 1996 and it was based on a pair of Game Boy games and today it is the second most popular franchise of all time.
